Health system resilience is defined as the ability of a system to prepare, manage, and learn from shocks. This study investigates the resilience of the German health system by analysing the system-related factors that supported health care workers, a key building block of the system, during the COVID-19 pandemic. We thematically analysed data from 18 semi-structured interviews with key informants from management, policy and academia, 17 in-depth interviews with health care workers, and 10 focus group discussions with health care workers.

Background: Many patients with cancer exhibit primary or rapid secondary resistance to targeted therapy (TT). Background: The level of trust in health systems is often in flux during public health emergencies and presents challenges in providing adequate health services and preventing the spread of disease. Experiences during previous epidemics has shown that lack of trust can impact the continuity of essential health services and response efforts. Guinea and Sierra Leone were greatly challenged by a lack of trust in the system during the Ebola epidemic.

Purpose: To provide patients with MET-mutated advanced non-small cell lung cancer (METmut aNSCLC) access to crizotinib, further substantiate evidence of its efficacy and safety in this setting, and find potential biomarkers for nonresponse.

Patients And Methods: In the Drug Rediscovery Protocol (NCT0295234), patients with an actionable molecular profile are treated with off-label registered drugs. Both treated and untreated patients with aNSCLC harboring MET exon 14 skipping or other MET mutations received crizotinib 250 mg BID until disease progression or intolerable toxicity.
