Cu2O has attracted significant attention as a potential photocatalyst for CO2 reduction. However, its practical use is limited by rapid charge recombination, insufficient catalytic sites, and poor stability. In this study, we report a facile synthesis of Cu2O@BiOCl core-shell hybrids with well-defined shape of Cu2O and two-dimensional nanosheet structure of BiOCl.

Hairy cell leukemia (HCL) has a favorable clinical outcome with appropriate treatment; however, further research is needed on managing patients with relapsed or refractory disease and the risk of infection during prolonged periods. This study examined the long-term effects of 2-chlorodeoxyadenosine (2-CdA), particularly using a weekly infusion protocol, in treatment-naïve patients with HCL. This retrospective study evaluated the long-term follow-up data from 21 South Korean patients diagnosed with HCL.

Background: Cognitive abilities, notably memory, typically decline with age, but a subset of individuals known as superagers defy this trend by exhibiting memory functions akin to those 20-30 years younger in late life. Recognizing the interconnection between physical performance, health outcomes, and cognitive function in older adults, our aim was to explore whether superagers demonstrate superior physical performance compared to typical agers.

Methods: Forty-nine cognitively unimpaired older adults underwent comprehensive assessments, including cognitive function tests using the Seoul Neuropsychological Screening Battery, Brain MRI, and the Short Physical Performance Battery (SPPB), a prominent tool for evaluating physical function.

Pulmonary artery (PA) flow analysis is crucial for understanding the progression of pulmonary hypertension (PH). We hypothesized that PA flow characteristics vary according to PH etiology. In this study, we used 4D flow cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) to compare PA flow velocity and wall shear stress (WSS) between patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and those with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction and pulmonary hypertension (PH-HFpEF).

In this paper, we review the use of hypofractionated radiotherapy for gastrointestinal malignancies, focusing on primary and metastatic liver cancer, and recurrent rectal cancer. Technological advancements in radiotherapy have facilitated the direct delivery of high-dose radiation to tumors, while limiting normal tissue exposure, supporting the use of hypofractionation. Hypofractionated radiotherapy is particularly effective for primary and metastatic liver cancer where high-dose irradiation is crucial to achieve effective local control.
