Background: Ophthalmic injuries in patients with maxillofacial trauma are potential causes of a permanent visual loss. These injuries can easily be missed; hence, there is a need for the ophthalmic evaluation of patients with maxillofacial trauma. Background: In recent times, the prevalence of quackery in oral and maxillofacial practice has become rampant with complications, one of which is odontogenic infections. This study was aimed to identify how common quackery is among our patients with odontogenic infections and the outcome of the patients.

Background: Dental trauma is a major type of traumatic dental injury (TDI) and a common presentation in many oral health facilities in Nigeria. Despite the high prevalence of TDIs, causes of dental trauma are yet to be fully investigated among Nigerians.
