Pregnancy is an important factor in the onset and development of varices (30 to 40% of pregnant women), essentially related to a hormonal influences. These varices present multiple clinical manifestations and generally an important but incomplete reversibility after delivery. Effective treatment and prevention of complications requires routine training of hygienic measures, the use of an appropriate, effective elastic bandage and sometimes limited sclerosis procedures.
