Background: Adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) are disproportionately affected by HIV. Globally, in 2022, an estimated 4000 AGYW 15-24 were newly infected with HIV weekly, and nearly 78% of these infections occurred in sub-Saharan Africa. Oral Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) is a key HIV prevention option within an overall HIV combination prevention approach with an efficacy of over 90% when taken correctly.

Crowdsourcing strategies are useful in the development of public health interventions. Crowdsourcing engages end users in a co-creation process through challenge contests, designathons or online collaborations. Drawing on our experience of crowdsourcing in four African countries, we provide guidance on designing crowdsourcing strategies across seven steps: deciding on the type of crowdsourcing strategy, convening a steering committee, developing the content of the call for ideas, promotion, evaluation, recognizing finalists and sharing back ideas or implementing the solutions.

Purpose: Surgical robotics have demonstrated their significance in assisting physicians during minimally invasive surgery. Especially, the integration of haptic and tactile feedback technologies can enhance the surgeon's performance and overall patient outcomes. However, the current state-of-the-art lacks such interaction feedback opportunities, especially in robotic-assisted interventional magnetic resonance imaging (iMRI), which is gaining importance in clinical practice, specifically for percutaneous needle punctures.
