Asymmetric, Bilateral Nontraumatic Subperiosteal Orbital Hematomas in an Anticoagulated Patient Following Anesthesia in Prone Positioning.

The authors report a case of nontraumatic orbital subperiosteal hematoma after general anesthesia with patient in the prone position. The patient, who was on aspirin, clopidogrel, and subcutaneous heparin, presented immediately after sacral ulcer debridement with acute bilateral vision loss and periorbital edema. While the OD improved with conservative management, the OS continued to have 20/200 vision, decreased color vision, afferent pupillary defect, and extraocular movement limitation after lateral canthotomy and cantholysis.

Improved Image Caption Rating - Datasets, Game, and Model.

How well a caption fits an image can be difficult to assess due to the subjective nature of caption quality. What is a caption? We investigate this problem by focusing on image-caption ratings and by generating high quality datasets from human feedback with gamification. We validate the datasets by showing a higher level of inter-rater agreement, and by using them to train custom machine learning models to predict new ratings.

Unveiled the Structure-Selectivity Relationship for Carbon Dioxide Reduction Triggered by Bi-Doped Cu-Based Nanocatalysts.

To investigate synergistic effect between geometric and electronic structures on directing CORR selectivity, water phase synthetic protocol and surface architecture engineering strategy are developed to construct monodispersed Bi-doped Cu-based nanocatalysts. The strongly correlated catalytic directionality and Bi dopant can be rationalized by the regulation of [*COOH]/[*CO] adsorption capacities through the appropriate doping of Bi electronic modulator, resulting in volcano relationship between FE/TOF and surface EVBM values. Spectroscopic study reveals that the dual-site binding mode ([Cu─μ─C(═O)O─Bi]) enabled by CuBi motif in single-phase CuBi nanocatalyst drives CO2-to-CO conversion.
