Canine anal sac gland adenocarcinomas (ASACs) are locally aggressive and highly metastatic to regional lymph nodes. Tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) and tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) can be effective prognostic and predictive markers in numerous human neoplasms and are increasingly investigated in dogs. The aim of this study was to characterize immune cells in canine ASACs and their relationship with tumor size, histologic metastatic status, and tumor clinical stage.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFFerroptosis, an iron-dependent form of regulated cell death, has recently emerged as a crucial process in the pathogenesis of , the causal agent of the devastating rice blast disease, which causes billions of dollars in annual losses. This mini review explores the potential of antioxidants in suppressing ferroptosis in to promote sustainable rice production, with significant implications for global food security and nutrition. We critically analyze the current literature on the mechanisms of ferroptosis in , including iron metabolism and lipid peroxidation, the role of different antioxidants in inhibiting this cell death pathway, and the potential applications of antioxidant-based strategies for the management of rice blast disease.

We previously demonstrated that targeting CDK4/6 using small molecule inhibitors (CDK4/6i) suppresses Braf melanoma growth in vitro and in vivo through induction of cellular senescence. However, clinical trials investigating CDK4/6i in melanoma have not yielded successful outcomes, underscoring the necessity to enhance the therapeutic efficacy of CDK4/6i.

Selective COX-2 inhibitors have shown antitumoral effects in tumors with a high expression of COX-2. This study evaluates (1) the expression of COX-2 in rabbit uterine adenocarcinomas, (2) the correlation between immunophenotypic expression and histopathological changes, and (3) the post-surgery response to therapy with COX-2 inhibitors.
