National Results of Revascularization for Acute Coronary Syndrome in 2023.

Aim    To analyze the results of myocardial revascularization in the Russian Federation (RF) for ACS in 2023 compared to previous years.Material and methods    The analysis included the number of cases of ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), non-ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndrome (NSTE-ACS), myocardial revascularization in the above-listed ACS forms, the number of fatal outcomes depending on the ACS form and the revascularization method used. The data for this analysis were obtained from the 2023 Ministry of Health of Russia monitoring in the section of revascularization in ACS and were compared with the data for the past 8 years.

[Percutaneous Coronary Intervention in High-Risk Patients].

Ischemic heart disease (IHD) with severe coronary artery disease (SYNTAX score >22 points) in combination with various comorbidities is often a reason for refusal of coronary artery bypass grafting in such patients. Thus, a new term has emerged, "high-risk percutaneous coronary intervention"; however, the criteria, indications and results of these interventions have not yet been sufficiently studied. Therefore, according to current clinical guidelines, the treatment tactics for this patient cohort is determined by the decision of a council, the so-called Heart Team.

Introduction: Today, endovascular treatment (EVT) is the therapy of choice for strokes due to acute large vessel occlusion, irrespective of prior thrombolysis. This necessitates fast, coordinated multi-specialty collaboration. Currently, in most countries, the number of physicians and centres with expertise in EVT is limited.

Long-Term Results of the Treatment of Patients With Chronic Ischemia of the Lower Limbs in Combination With Ischemic Heart Disease.

Aim      To compare long-term outcomes of x-ray endovascular (percutaneous coronary intervention, PCI, and lower limb angioplasty with stent placement, LLA; group 1) and combination treatments (PCI and open LLA surgery; group 2) in patients with chronic lower limb ischemia (CLLI) associated with ischemic heart disease (IHD).Material and methods  This retrospective study has been conducted in the Vishnevsky National Medical Research Center of Surgery since 2019. The study includes 92 patients with stage 2B CLLI associated with IHD who were managed from January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2020.
