Objectives: To investigate the microbiological trends of community-acquired diabetic foot osteomyelitis (DFO) over the past two decades in specialized academic centres in Switzerland, Spain, and Turkey.

Methods: A retrospective analysis of DFO cohorts (2000-2019) from five centres (Geneva, Zurich, Las Palmas, Barcelona, Istanbul) stratified into four periods (P1-P4) to assess microbiological changes.

Results: Among 1379 DFO episodes (76% male, median age 67 years; 90% type 2 diabetes, median duration 17 years), gram-positive bacteria were identified in 82%, including Staphylococcus aureus (47%).

Granulomatous mastitis (GM) is a rare, benign, but chronic and recurrent inflammatory breast disease that significantly impacts physical and psychological well-being. Background: Headache (HA) is the most common symptom impacting the quality of life of patients with Chiari I malformation. While HAs typically present in the occipital or suboccipital regions, and induced by Valsalva maneuver, complex migraine-like HAs referring to frontal or orbital regions also occur. Our study explores the therapeutic potential of C1 nerve root decompression in addition to increasing intracranial compliance in patients with Chiari I malformation.

Objective: Human sexual dimorphism in physical strength manifests itself in men having a greater muscle mass than women, reflecting ancestral roles in competition, protection, and provisioning. Prenatal testosterone exposure, approximated via the second-to-fourth digit ratio (2D:4D), is linked to increased muscular strength in both sexes, indicating a developmental influence. Previous research has shown that both physical strength and 2D:4D have facial shape correlates, especially in men, but most studies have focused on Western populations and one trait.

Objective: Immune-related gene expression levels in the tumor microenvironment (TM) of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) patients was compared.

Materials And Methods: The CD163, CD274, CD86, FUT4, FOXP3, and ITGAX levels of HNSCC patients in their tumor tissues (n =76) and surrounding tissues adjacent to the tumor (n =76) were determined using quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR). Changes in these genes were also evaluated by associating with demographical data of the patients.
