Challenges in diagnosis and management of aortobronchial fistula: a case report.

Background: Aortobronchial fistulas (ABFs) are rare but potentially life-threatening conditions, often presenting with haemoptysis. They can develop following various thoracic aortic conditions or procedures.

Case Presentation: A 70-year-old patient with a history of descending aorta replacement and ischaemic stroke presented with chest pain and upper gastrointestinal bleeding.

Epidemiology, outcomes and prognosis of infective endocarditis in Northern Morocco.

Introduction: Infective endocarditis is a rare but potentially severe disease, associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Our study aims to describe the epidemiology and management aspects of endocarditis in northern Morocco and compare it with international management guidelines.

Materials And Methods: This is a retrospective study involving all patients hospitalized in the cardiology department of the University Hospital of Tangier for infective endocarditis over a period of 4 years and 7 months, from May 2019 to February 2024.

[Management of Constrictive Pericarditis : A study of 43 operated cases].

Chronic constrictive pericarditis is a rare condition characterized by clinical signs of right heart failure, due to the symphysis of the two pericardial leaflets. Our study focused on a retrospective analysis of 43 CCP surgery observations collected over an 11-year period (2003-2013). The mean age of the patients was 32 years; 65% were male; exercise dyspnea (95%) was the most frequent sign.

Tertiary syphilis and cardiovascular disease: the united triad: case report.

Background: Syphilis, owing to its natural course, can lead to long-term damage to the aortic valve, such as insufficiency and rarely stenosis, ostial coronary stenosis, and syphilitic aortitis. Cardiovascular involvement alongside neurological involvement dominates the prognosis. This should no longer be seen, thanks to awareness and prevention programmes, medical treatment, and antibiotics.
