Background: Alemtuzumab can be an alternative to rabbit anti-thymocyte globulin (rATG) to treat severe or glucocorticoid-resistant acute T cell-mediated kidney transplant rejection (TCMR). Yet, there are few reports in which these two treatments are evaluated let alone, compared. This study describes the real-world clinical experience of both therapies and compares their efficacy and toxicity.

Methods: Studies about costimulatory blockers in SOT in humans or animal transplant models in the past decade (2014-2024) were systematically reviewed in PubMed, European Union clinical trials (EudraCT), and ClinicalTrials.gov.
Typological research shows that across languages, trilled [r] sounds are more common in adjectives describing rough as opposed to smooth surfaces. In this study, this lexical research is built on with an experiment with speakers of 28 different languages from 12 different families. Participants were presented with images of a jagged and a straight line and imagined running their finger along each.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFLiquid-jet photoelectron spectroscopy (LJ-PES) and electronic-structure theory were employed to investigate the chemical and structural properties of the amino acid l-proline in aqueous solution for its three ionized states (protonated, zwitterionic, and deprotonated). This is the first PES study of this amino acid in its biologically relevant environment. Proline's structure in the aqueous phase under neutral conditions is zwitterionic, distinctly different from the nonionic neutral form in the gas phase.
