Introduction: Recent revisions of national field triage guidelines recommend the addition of age-specific systolic blood pressure (SBP) measurement for identifying the most severely injured children requiring transport to a trauma center. The purpose of this study was to determine the frequency in which blood pressures are documented by Emergency Medical Service (EMS) providers and the role this measurement has had, among other factors, in triage decisions.

Methods: This is an exploratory descriptive study with a retrospective review from the trauma registry database of all pediatric trauma admissions that arrived by EMS at a level II pediatric trauma center from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2022.

Objective: The objective of this prospective study was to assess possible changes in the position and shape of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) articular disc in patients treated with two protocols of rapid maxillary expansion (RME) and face mask (FM) therapy.

Methods: A sample of 88 patients with Class III or Class III subdivision malocclusions, aged between 6 and 13 years, were consecutively selected and divided into three groups (G): G1-34 patients were treated with RME, followed by FM therapy; G2-34 patients were treated using RME according to modified alternate rapid maxillary expansion and constriction (ALT-RAMEC) protocol, followed by FM therapy. These treated groups were randomly (1:1 allocation ratio) distributed according to the two treatment protocols.

On 21 November 2016, the European Commission issued a marketing authorisation valid throughout the European Union for ixazomib in combination with lenalidomide and dexamethasone for the treatment of adult patients with multiple myeloma who have received at least one prior therapy. Ixazomib was evaluated in one, randomised, double-blind, phase III study comparing ixazomib plus lenalidomide and dexamethasone (n=360; ixazomib arm) versus placebo plus lenalidomide and dexamethasone (n=362; placebo arm) in adult patients with relapsed and/or refractory multiple myeloma who had received at least one prior therapy.
