Introduction: Reye's syndrome is a metabolic encephalopathy of infancy which is often fatal. Epidemiological studies have shown associated factors including having taken Aspirin for viral illness. Some patients with this disorder may have preexisting organic acidemia such as dicarboxylic aciduria.
