The factors shaping microbial communities in marine subsurface sediments remain poorly understood. Here, we analyzed the microbiome of subsurface sediments within a depth range of 1.6-1.

The Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound (SRU) issued guidelines in 2021 for managing incidentally detected gallbladder polyps, aiming to balance follow-up with avoiding overtreatment. There is variable adherence to these guidelines in radiology reports, however, which makes it difficult for the clinician to pursue appropriate follow-up for the patient.

Aims: To examine patients with PVT for their clinical characteristics and factors related to both PVT and to survival.
Methods: A large HCC database containing 1094 patients with PVT and 2513 patients without PVT was examined.
To understand the multicellular composition of tissues, and how it is altered during development, ageing and/or disease, we must visualise the complete cellular landscape. Currently, this is hindered by our limited ability to combine multiple cellular markers. To overcome this, we adapted a highly multiplexed immunofluorescence (IF) technique called 'Iterative Bleaching Extends Multiplexity' (IBEX) to the zebrafish retina.
