Alzheimer's disease (AD), one of the most prevalent neurodegenerative disease responsible for 60%-80% dementia cases globally. The disease is more prevalent among elder females. Female reproductive hormones are found to be essential for cellular activities in brain.

This paper presents a comparative assessment of multiple machine learning regression algorithms including Support Vector Machine, Neural Network, Ensemble Method, and Gaussian Process Regression for modelling the complex relationship between real-time driving data and battery SOC. The models are trained and tested on extensive field data collected from diverse drivers across varying conditions.

Knowing how these sinks evolve would advance our understanding of climate dynamics. We construct a conceptual box model for the oceans to predict the temporal and spatial evolution of CO2 of each ocean, and the time-evolution of their salinities.

In this context, the objective of this study is to explore the effect of post-injection parameters on a continuous active regeneration trap (CART) to mitigate harmful greenhouse gases (GHG) and particulate smoke emissions (PSE) using diesel fuel reformulated by long-chain microalgae bio-alcohol and low-density microalgae biodiesel. Furthermore, the efficiency of the CART unit is analyzed based on its ability to mitigate the harmful emissions without sacrificing the engine performance characteristics.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe increased demands and dependence on depleted oil reserves, accompanied by global warming and climate change have driven the world to explore and develop new strategies for global sustainable development. Among sustainable biomass sources, microalgae represent a promising alternative to fossil fuel and can contribute to the achievement of important Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This article has reviewed the various applications of microalgal biomass that includes (i) the use in aquaculture and its sustainability; (ii) commercial value and emerging extraction strategies of carotenoids; (iii) biofuels from microalgae and their application in internal combustion engines; (iv) the use and reuse of water in microalgae cultivation; and (v) microalgae biotechnology as a key factor to assist SDGs.
