The eukaryotic cell division cycle is a highly conserved process, featuring fluctuations in protein localization and abundance required for key cell cycle transitions. Here, we present a protocol for the spatiotemporal analysis of the proteome during the budding yeast cell division cycle using live-cell imaging. We describe steps for strain construction, cell cultivation, microscopy, and image analysis.

Despite evidence of the effectiveness of early intervention (EI) programs, eligible infants often experience delays in initiation of services or fail to receive services entirely. Disparities have been documented, including lower enrollment rates for infants with public insurance. The objective of this pilot study was to evaluate the feasibility of initiating home physical therapy (PT) services promptly after neonatal or cardiac intensive care unit (NICU/CICU) discharge for infants with public insurance and to assess early motor outcomes for children who received study therapy compared with a standard of care group.

Mental health concerns among youth represent a critical global public health issue. Research has found that youth with mental health concerns are often reliant on their caregivers while being isolated from peers. Guided by the recovery model of mental health care, this study investigates the often-overlooked role of caregivers in fostering 'connectedness' in youth; Methods: Semi-structured interviews were conducted with nine caregivers of youth with mental health issue; Results: Thematic analysis underscored three tasks in the role of caregivers in promoting connectedness in youth: (a) understanding the nature and quality of social networks, (b) supporting readiness to engage in social relationships, and (c) promoting their youth's social problem solving and self-efficacy; Discussion: These tasks highlight the complex dialectics faced by caregivers in supporting youth recovery.

RNA-modifying enzymes have recently garnered considerable attention due to their relevance in cancer biology, identifying them as potential targets for novel therapeutic intervention. THUMPD3 was recently identified as an RNA methyltransferase catalysing N2-methylguanosine (m2G) within certain tRNAs. In this study, we unveil a novel role for THUMPD3 in lung cancer cells.

Protein dynamics in the unfolded state, in the context of early stage protein folding or intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs), is not well understood. The discovery of IDPs, and their sequence-dependent dynamics, has led to many computational and experimental investigations regarding the conformational preferences of short oligopeptides and individual amino acid residues in the unfolded state. As proteins consist of sequences of amino acid residues, characterizing the intrinsic conformational preferences of the individual residues in the unfolded state is crucial for understanding the emergent conformations of peptides and proteins.
