The HyperPed-COVID international registry: Impact of age of onset, disease presentation and geographical distribution on the final outcome of MIS-C.

Objectives: The aim of the study was to establish an international multicenter registry to collect data on patients with Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C), in order to highlight a relationship between clinical presentation, age of onset and geographical distribution on the clinical outcome.

Study Design: Multicenter retrospective study involving different international societies for rare immunological disorders.1009 patients diagnosed with MIS-C between March and September 2022, from 48 centers and 22 countries were collected.

Validity and Reliability of Four Parent/Patient-Reported Outcome Measures for Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis Remote Monitoring.

Objective: The aim of this work was to provide evidence of validity and reliability for 4 parent/child-reported outcome measures included in the Outcome Measures in Rheumatology juvenile idiopathic arthritis core domain set: the evaluation of the child's pain and level of disease activity, the assessment of morning stiffness duration, and an active joint count for proxy/self-assessment.

Methods: Patients were included in the multinational study Epidemiology Treatment and Outcome of Childhood Arthritis. Criterion validity was assessed by examining the correlation of the 4 tested measures with physician measures and the clinical Juvenile Arthritis Disease Activity Score in 10 joints (cJADAS10) in the whole sample and after grouping patients by International League of Associations for Rheumatology (ILAR) category, geographic area, and education level.

The Bulgarian version of the Juvenile Arthritis Multidimensional Assessment Report (JAMAR).

The Juvenile Arthritis Multidimensional Assessment Report (JAMAR) is a new parent/patient reported outcome measure that enables a thorough assessment of the disease status in children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). We report the results of the cross-cultural adaptation and validation of the parent and patient versions of the JAMAR in the Bulgarian language. The reading comprehension of the questionnaire was tested in 10 JIA parents and patients.

Sulphasalazine. An alternative drug for second-line treatment of juvenile chronic arthritis.

Sulphasalazine has been established to be an effective drug for second line treatment of early mild to moderate rheumatoid arthritis. Its application for juvenile chronic arthritis (JCA) is limited so far and controversial results for the efficacy of this therapy have been published. We studied the efficacy and tolerance of the sulphasalazine treatment in 32 patients with JCA (10 with polyarthritis, 21 with pauciarthritis and 1 with systemic form).

Prevalence of IgM-, IgA- and IgG-rheumatoid factors in seronegative polyarticular disease compared to pauciarticular disease in juvenile chronic arthritis as measured by ELISA.

Objective: To determine the prevalence of the rheumatoid factor isotypes measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) in polyarticular and pauciarticular juvenile chronic arthritis (JCA), and evaluate the diagnostic test qualities.

Patients And Methods: 53 patients with JCA (20 with seronegative polyarticular disease at onset, 21 with pauciarticular onset and course of disease and 12 with extended pauciarticular disease), as well as 125 control children (58 healthy controls and 67 patients with other diseases) were tested. ELISA for the detection of IgM-, IgA- and IgG-isotypes of RFs was used.
