Intracranial Drain-Related Intracerebral Hemorrhage in Two Sporadic Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy Patients.

 Alzheimer's disease and cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA) are often associated. Amyloid accumulation within leptomeningeal and small/median-sized cerebral blood vessels in CAA results in vessel fragility, leading to spontaneous leptomeningeal bleeding, lobar intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) and cerebral microbleeds. CAA is also associated with non-traumatic subdural hematoma.

Advancing Health Security and Disease Eradication Through Peace and Health: A Mali Case Study.

Conflict and violence constitute threats to public health. As levels of conflict increase within and between countries, it is important to explore how conflict resolution initiatives can be adapted to meet the health needs of communities, and how addressing the health needs of communities can assist in conflict resolution and contribute to health security. In conflict-affected central Mali, a Peace through Health Initiative, piloted between 2018 and 2022, used conflict resolution trainings, facilitated community meetings, and human and animal health interventions to negotiate "periods of tranquility" to achieve public health goals.

Mathematical analysis of the impact of the media coverage in mitigating the outbreak of COVID-19.

In this paper, a mathematical model with a standard incidence rate is proposed to assess the role of media such as facebook, television, radio and tweeter in the mitigation of the outbreak of COVID-19. The basic reproduction number which is the threshold dynamics parameter between the disappearance and the persistence of the disease has been calculated. And, it is obvious to see that it varies directly to the number of hospitalized people, asymptomatic, symptomatic carriers and the impact of media coverage.

[Evolution of gender-based violence during the emergence of COVID-19 pandemic in Greater Abidjan (March 2020-May 2021)].

In Côte d'Ivoire, a country of 28 million inhabitants in West Africa, a survey conducted by the Ministry of the Family in 2018 showed the extent of gender-based violence (GBV) in the Greater Abidjan area (5 million inhabitants), the country's economic capital. The social workers employed for this work were mobilized during the Covid-19 pandemic to raise awareness and help the population fight against SARS-CoV-2. The results collected by these workers during the first period (January 2019 - February 2020) and the second period (March 2020 - April 2021) are the subject of this article.
