Microplastics (< 5 mm) are a diverse class of contaminants ranging in morphology, polymer type, and chemical cocktail. Microplastic toxicity can be driven by one or a combination of these characteristics. Most studies, however, evaluate the physical effect of the most commercially available polymers.

We sought to understand the efficacy of this approach. We comprehensively reviewed the relevant literature.

The population of cancer survivors is on the rise due to an increase in cancer incidence and a decline in cancer mortality. This growing survivor population creates a number of challenges. E-cigarette use is increasing rapidly across the world. Governments have begun to tighten regulation principally to prevent uptake by young people and non-smokers. As tobacco industry ownership of the e-cigarette market grows, it is important to be aware of how industry is seeking to influence the regulation of e-cigarettes.

We can do better: Recommendations for mental health crisis care from people with lived experience.

The ED is increasingly the first point of contact for people who have no alternative when they are in a mental health crisis. However, there is mounting evidence of inadequate and negative responses to mental health crises in the ED, which has been identified as a 'human rights flashpoint'. This paper presents the desired crisis support from people who have accessed the ED in a mental health crisis and offers significant opportunities to use lived experience knowledge to reshape crisis care.
