Purpose: A global survey conducted by The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) in 2022 reported 18.8 million non-surgical cosmetic procedures, with women representing 87%. Recent literature has shined a light on the possible implication of female sex hormones on the perception of pain, but the influence of these hormones on pain perception secondary to aesthetic procedures have scarcely been studied.

Androgenetic alopecia is a chronic dermatological condition in which genetically predisposed individuals undergo progressive hair loss secondary to the effects of circulating androgens. It has been well documented that dihydrotestosterone binds to the androgenic receptors prevalent in the scalp, thus inducing miniaturization of the hair follicle. To date, the only FDA approved medications for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia are finasteride and minoxidil.

COVID-19, a novel infectious disease caused by the emergence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in 2020, has had a profound impact on healthcare, both at the individual and population level. The impact at the population level was felt most acutely during the emergency phase of the pandemic, with hospital capacity issues leading to widespread disruptions and delays in the delivery of healthcare services such as screening programs and elective surgeries. While hospitals are no longer being acutely overwhelmed by COVID-19 patients, the impact of the virus on vulnerable patient populations such as cancer patients continues to be of ongoing consequence.

We herein report a middle-aged gentleman who initially presented with ocular adnexal mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) on the right eyelid. The lesion was excised and the patient was treated with radiation therapy. During the initial presentation, a PET CT was performed and did not reveal disease involvement beyond the eyelid.

Granular cell tumors are rare soft tissue neoplasms derived from Schwann cells and are characterized by their infiltrative, non-encapsulated nests and sheets of polygonal cells with fine eosinophilic cytoplasmic granules on histology. Herin, we report a case of a 10-year-old Saudi female who presented to the hospital with multiple asymptomatic skin lesions, the largest located on the right shoulder and left foot. Preoperative workup revealed the absence of liver metastasis, and the patient underwent complete surgical excision successfully.
