Introduction: Xenin is a newly discovered peptide in humans. The concentration of xenin in human plasma increases after meals and therefore this peptide is considered as a marker of satiety. The mechanism of xenin action in humans has not been thoroughly examined.

Background: Complete arterial revascularisation using the radial artery (RA) is an attractive alternative to venous graft implantation for the coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). In spite of the favourable long-term results of this approach, the sensitivity of RA to vasoconstriction and spasm is still limiting its use. Foreign bodies aspirated into respiratory tract may produce severe lung damage and threaten life. We have analysed retrospectively symptoms, physical findings, chest roentgenograms and bronchoscopy reports in 20 children with foreign body aspiration. Boys dominated in this group.
