Background: Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a progressive, genetic disease posing reproductive health concerns to affected women, such as high-risk pregnancies and medication interactions leading to contraceptive failure. Reproductive health counseling in this population is of the utmost importance, but barriers to providing it include lack of time, knowledge, and provider discomfort. We sought to evaluate reproductive health counseling and contraceptive use in female adolescent CF patients.

Methods: A retrospective observational study of otherwise healthy children admitted to a children's hospital in the United States from 2006 to 2017 with NTS-B was conducted.
Results: Of 231 patients reviewed, 51 patients had NTS-B.

In this small pilot study, we evaluated the feasibility of providing personalizable breast cancer video education prior to the first oncology consultation and compared outcomes to patients receiving standard of care educational materials. Personalized videos included detailed information on a patient's specific grade, stage, and tumor subtype (e.

Advantages of MAAs include excellent beam quality and depth of field resulting from superior elevational focus compared with 1-D electronically scanned arrays, as well as potentially reduced cost, size, and power consumption resulting from the use of a limited number of beamforming channels for processing a large number of subelements. Specific design tradeoffs for these highly integrated arrays are discussed in terms of array specifications for center frequency, element pitch, and electronic switch-on resistance.
