Introduction: In 2020, the AAMC created telemedicine competencies to guide curriculum and assessment development. Most available curricula are designed for clinical medical students or graduate trainees, and few offer opportunities for individualized, timely feedback and participation in pediatric simulated encounters.
Methods: We designed a hybrid curriculum to provide preclinical medical students with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform telemedicine encounters.
Policy decisions concerning housing, transportation, and resource allocation would all benefit from accurate small-area population forecasts. However, despite the success of regional-scale migration models, developing neighborhood-scale forecasts remains a challenge due to the complex nature of residential choice. Here, we introduce an innovative approach to this challenge by extending density-functional fluctuation theory (DFFT), a proven approach for modeling group spatial behavior in biological systems, to predict small-area population shifts over time.

This reaction enabled a concise, four-step, stereoselective synthesis of highly functionalized 3,3-difluoro-4-pyrazolo-piperidine GSK3901383A, a key intermediate for the synthesis of a leucine-rich repeat kinase 2 inhibitor API. Computational analysis provided insight into the steric requirements of the catalytic system, enabling rational selection of a highly selective catalyst.

Racism and bias can affect every aspect of clinical care, including history-taking, physical examination, laboratory interpretation, note-writing, oral presentation, and decision-making. Medical students must learn racism- and bias-mitigation skills early in their professional development to provide high-quality, equitable care.
