The present study aimed to determine the relationship between circulating progesterone (P4) concentrations and milk yield during the ovulatory follicular wave on the proportion of multiple ovulation in multiparous high-producing Holstein cows (n = 1,345). First-service multiparous cows submitted to a Double-Ovsynch program (GnRH; 7 d later, PGF; 3 d later, GnRH; 7 d later, GnRH [G1]; 7 d later, PGF [PG1]; 1 d later, PGF; ~32 h later, GnRH [G2]; ~16 h later, timed AI [TAI]) were used. To assess ovulatory response and proportion of multiple ovulation (MOV), ovarian ultrasonography examinations were performed at G1 (n = 1,215) and G2 (n = 1,345) and from 40 to 48 h after each GnRH.

This review explores methods for increasing P4 to improve early pregnancy establishment in dairy cattle. A key aspect of P4 supplementation during the critical first weeks of pregnancy is its correlation with successful embryo elongation.

We considered the experimental d 0 the day of the previous service. The experiment consisted of a 2 × 2 factorial design to compare the main effects of GnRH dose (100 vs.

One of the arguments that emerged on this issue is that 'working away from the office' affects the time we spend with significant others.

This systematic review (registration number: CRD42021248309) aims to synthesise the available evidence on Respiratory Syncytial Virus-related hospitalisations among children aged 0 to 6 years in Italy.
Methods: The literature search was conducted on PubMed, Embase, Scopus, and International HTA, covering the period from January 2000 to July 2022, with a focus on studies that reported information on Respiratory Syncytial Virus-associated hospitalisation in children aged 0-6 years in Italy.
This work valorizes rejects from Tenebrio Molitor TM breeding through the production of chitin and chitosan. Two processes are proposed for extracting chitin from larval exuviae and adult. The first process P1 provides chitin with high contents compared to literature data but the characterization shows the presence of impurities in the exuviae chitin responsible for the shifts in the values of the physicochemical characteristics towards those presented by γ chitin.

In 2023, the US Food and Drug Administration approved a serum soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase-1/placental growth factor test at a cutoff of 40 to aid in the risk assessment of women hospitalized for hypertensive disorders of pregnancy for the progression to preeclampsia with severe features between 23 and 35 weeks.
Objective: This study aimed to generate real-world evidence for clinical utility for serum soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase-1/placental growth factor test when made available to clinicians in a timely fashion as an aid in risk stratification of development of preeclampsia with severe features within 2 weeks of testing among hospitalized patients with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy.
Background: Every year in Italy, influenza affects about 4 million people. Almost 5% of them are hospitalised. During peak illness, enormous pressure is placed on healthcare and economic systems.

Given the rapid expansion of psychosocial oncology research, they represent a key opportunity for informing the treatment decisions of overburdened clinicians, standardizing service delivery, and improving patient-reported outcomes. Yet, there is little consensus on how clinicians can most effectively access these tools and little to no information on the current availability and scope of CPGs for the range of psychosocial symptoms and concerns experienced by patients with cancer.

This systematic review aimed to assess the economic burden and healthcare utilisation of RSV in children aged 0-59 months in Italy.

Objective: To describe the feasibility of a novel thread-transecting technique for the tenotomy of the equine deep digital flexor tendon (DDFT).
Animals: 39 equine distal limb specimens.
Methods: Under ultrasonographic guidance, a surgical thread was percutaneously placed around the DDFT through 2 needle punctures (lateral and medial) using a Tuohy needle in equine limbs (22 forelimbs, 17 hindlimbs).
Our objective was to determine the effect of a 200-µg dose of GnRH 25 d after previous artificial insemination (AI) in a Resynch-25 resynchronization program on ovulatory response, circulating progesterone (P4) concentrations before and after treatment, and pregnancy per AI (P/AI) compared with a 100-µg dose in lactating Holstein cows. Experimental d 0 was considered the day of the previous AI. Lactating dairy cows (n = 3,240) with an average of 126 d in milk (DIM) and between 1 and 6 services were randomly assigned to receive 100 µg or 200 µg of GnRH on d 25 (GnRH25).

Methods: We developed a decision tree model over a 1-year time-horizon to assess influenza-related costs and health outcomes. Two hospitalization approaches were considered: "hospitalization conditional on developing influenza" and "hospitalization possibly related to Influenza.

Ambient PM (particles less than 2.5 μm in diameter) is monitored in many countries including Australia. Occasionally PM instruments may report negative measurements, although in realty the ambient air can never contain negative amounts of particles.

Weekly cohorts of primiparous (n = 719) and multiparous (n = 1,191) cows submitted to DO (GnRH, 7 d later PGF, 3 d later GnRH, 7 d later GnRH [G1], 7 d later PGF [PG1], 1 d later PGF, ∼32 h later GnRH [G2], and ∼16 h later timed artificial insemination [TAI]) for first service, randomly received either 100 μg or 200 μg of GnRH (gonadorelin hydrochloride) at G1 (primiparous, 64-75 DIM; multiparous, 59-70 DIM). Ovulation was determined by ultrasound 2 d after G1 (n = 1,294) and 2 d after G2 (n = 1,020).

Purpose: The aim of this study was to report pulmonary function tests (PFTs) and clinician-reported and patient-reported quality-of-life (QoL) outcomes on a cohort of patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) treated with SABR.
Methods And Materials: A total of 119 patients with NSCLC were treated with SABR in the prospective cohort SSBROC study of patients with T1-T2N0M0 NSCLC. PFTs and QoL measures were obtained at baseline pretreatment and at 6-month intervals.
In this paper, a natural Moroccan material from the Nador area in the north east of Morocco was studied as an adsorbent to remove methyl violet 2B dye from aqueous solutions. This material has never been studied before in this region, and it will be used in its raw state. It was collected and characterized by X-ray diffraction, FTIR spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray fluorescence, thermal analysis, N gas adsorption-desorption, pH, and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET).

The objective was to determine the effect of inducing an accessory corpus luteum (CL) using GnRH or human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) on the day of in vitro-produced (IVP) embryo transfer (ET) on pregnancy per ET (P/ET) and calving/ET in dairy heifers and lactating cows. Dairy heifers (11-15 mo of age; n = 1,547) and lactating cows (n = 1,480) detected in estrus by tail chalk (d 0) were used as recipients. Before ET, the presence of a CL was evaluated by transrectal palpation from d 6 to 9 of the estrous cycle.

Holstein heifers (n = 207) were synchronized with a 5-d controlled internal drug release (CIDR) Synch protocol (d -8: used CIDR inserted; d -3: CIDR removed and PGF). It is important to examine the effectiveness of such emission reductions and assess the resulting changes in air quality. However, such evaluation is difficult as meteorological factors can amplify, or obscure the changes of air pollutants, in addition to the emission reduction.
