Recurrent Painful Ophthalmoplegic Neuropathy Responding to Lamotrigine: A Case Report.

Recurrent painful ophthalmoplegic neuropathy (RPON) is a rare neurological disorder characterized by recurring ipsilateral headache and paresis of one or more ocular motor nerves. We report the case of a 56-year-old woman with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and hypertension, who presented with severe recurring headaches, nausea, and vomiting. Initially misdiagnosed with cerebral venous sinus thrombosis, her symptoms persisted despite anticoagulant therapy.

Prevalence and Risk Factors of Voice Disorders Among Teachers in Saudi Arabia.

Introduction Voice is a crucial tool for communication, and voice problems are more likely to occur in professionals who frequently use their voice for work. Teachers, whose profession requires sustained vocal use, are particularly susceptible to occupation-related voice disorders. This study aimed to quantify the prevalence of voice disorders among teachers in Saudi Arabia, with the general population serving as a control group, and to identify associated risk factors.

Facial Neuropathy Revealed: A Case Report on Trigeminal Schwannoma.

Trigeminal schwannomas, rare tumors originating from Schwann cells of the trigeminal nerve, present unique diagnostic challenges due to their infrequent occurrence. The clinical manifestation of facial numbness and tingling necessitates a comprehensive approach for accurate diagnosis and optimal management. We present the case of a 45-year-old female who presented with a six-month history of progressive facial numbness localized to the left maxillary and mandibular regions.
