Background: Reinforcement of root canals obturated with Resilon was reported by several investigators, but no studies reported the reinforcement of overtly flared root canals obturated with Resilon material. The aim of this study was to investigate the fracture resistance of overtly flared root canals filled with Resilon as compared to similar root canals filled with gutta-percha (GP).

Materials And Methods: Sixty single-rooted premolars were divided randomly into six groups.

Purpose: To assess: 1) awareness of diabetic patients about their increased risk for oral diseases, 2) attitudes of diabetic patients towards maintaining good oral health through oral self-care and regular dental visits and 3) their sources of information on oral health.

Materials And Methods: A self-administered questionnaire was used to assess the main objectives of the study. Two hundred diabetic patients ranging in age from 17 to 78 years old participated in the study.

Objectives: THE OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY WERE TO: (1) assess the knowledge and awareness of diabetic patients of their risk for systemic and oral diseases as complications associated with diabetes, (2) to assess their attitudes toward sustaining good oral health through proper oral hygiene and regular dental check-ups, and (3) to the extent that they are aware, to determine how they became aware.

Methods: Two hundred self-administered questionnaires were distributed to assess the main objectives of the study. Only completed questionnaires were used in the current study data analysis.

Non-destructive methods, such as the ac-impedance technique, have recently been applied to early caries detection and to identify micro-leakage between tooth structure and filling materials. However, in vitro impedance measurements are affected by a number of external factors. The purpose of present study was to investigate the effect of the age of teeth on impedance measurements of human dentine by employing electrical impedance spectroscopy (EIS).
