Background: Cardiovascular disease is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. According to the results of various studies, protein convertase subtilisin kexin type-9 (PCSK9) was determined as a novel risk factor for stable coronary artery disease. Few studies have investigated the relationship between PCSK9 levels and the severity of coronary artery disease in patients with acute coronary syndrome; thus, we herein aimed to investigate this relationship in patients with non-ST-elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) who underwent coronary angiography.
