Objective: The current study was designed to investigate the protective effects of curcuma caplet against titanium dioxide nanoparticles (nTiO2)-induced damage in liver and kidney of male Wistar rats.

Materials And Methods: Thirty adult (7-8 week old) male rats (200 g) were randomly divided into 5 groups of 6 each. The first and second groups received olive oil and nTiO2 (300 mg/kg body weight) as control and nTiO2 groups, respectively.

Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates the effects of different forms of insulin on TGF-β1 and fibronectin expression in the kidneys of diabetic rats, aiming to address complications like nephropathy in diabetes.
  • Twenty-five male Wistar rats were used, divided into five groups to assess the impact of subcutaneous insulin and oral insulin-loaded chitosan nanoparticles on blood glucose and kidney tissue changes over ten weeks.
  • Results indicated that while both treatments improved blood glucose and weight, the reduction in fibronectin and TGF-β1 levels was not statistically significant, suggesting that oral insulin nanoparticles may offer better therapeutic benefits than injected insulin for Type 1 diabetes.
