Comparison of Postoperative Benign Pelvic Cysts Occurred after Gynecologic or Gyne-oncologic Surgery Treated with Percutaneous Transcatheteric Sclerosant Alcohol Therapy.

Objectives: Here, we compare the success of percutaneous transcatheter sclerosant alcohol therapy (PTSAT) for the postoperative treatment of benign pelvic cysts that occurred after gynecologic surgery.

Materials And Methods: The study is a retrospective case-control trial. Gynecological patients who had symptoms due to postoperative pelvic cysts and received PTSAT after gynecologic surgery, between October 2008 and January 2018, were examined in a single training and research hospital in Turkey.

Medium-term results of undersized angioplasty and stenting for symptomatic high-grade intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis with Enterprise.

Purpose: The aim of this retrospective study is to evaluate medium-term results of undersized balloon angioplasty and stenting for symptomatic high-grade (70-99%) stenosis of a major intracranial artery with Enterprise stent.

Methods: This study included 68 consecutive symptomatic (recurrent transient ischemic attack (TIA) or ischemic stroke under dual antiplatelet treatment) patients with high-grade (70-99%) stenosis of a major intracranial artery who were endovascularly treated with undersized balloon angioplasty and Enterprise stent deployment between July 2012 and December 2017. Primary outcomes were any stroke or death within 30 days after procedure.

Comparison of Long-Term Results of Percutaneous Treatment Techniques for Hepatic Cystic Echinococcosis Types 2 and 3b.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the long-term results of a modified catheterization technique for percutaneous treatment of hepatic cystic echinococcosis (CE) types 2 and 3b and to retrospectively compare the results of puncture, aspiration, injection, and reaspiration (PAIR); standard catheterization; and the modified catheterization technique.

Materials And Methods: Seventy-three patients (37 male, 36 female; 75 cysts) with CE types 2 and 3b who underwent percutaneous treatment from March 1991 to August 2008 were included. Informed consent from all patients and approval of the ethics board were obtained.

Prevention of Postoperative Bile Leak in Partial Cystectomy for Hydatid Liver Disease: Tricks of the Trade.

Background: The presence of postoperative bile leak is the major outcome measure for the assessment of operative success in partial cystectomy for hydatid liver disease. However, the optimal operative strategy to reduce the postoperative bile leak rate is yet to be defined.

Methods: Medical records of patients who underwent partial cystectomy for hydatid liver disease between January 2013 and January 2015 were reviewed in this retrospective analysis.

Non-invasive detection of infection in acute pancreatic and acute necrotic collections with diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging: preliminary findings.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the contribution of diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DW-MRI) to the detection of infection in acute pancreatitis-related collections.

Methods: A total of 21 DW-MRI, and computed tomography (CT) were performed on 20 patients diagnosed as acute pancreatitis with acute peri-pancreatic fluid or necrotic collections. Collections were classified as infected or sterile according to the culture and follow-up results.
