The relationship between seborrheic dermatitis and body composition parameters.

Objective: Seborrheic dermatitis (SD) is a chronic, recurrent inflammatory skin disease characterized by clinically scaly patches. It is known that skin diseases with chronic inflammation are associated with comorbid conditions such as metabolic syndrome, obesity, cardiovascular diseases (CVD) and diabetes. In recent years, there are studies investigating the relationship of SD with metabolic syndrome, hypertension, obesity and nutritional factors.
