Introduction: Peritoneal lesions cannot be definitively distinguished based on clinical and imaging characteristics alone. This study aimed to evaluate the reliability, diagnostic value, and diagnostic yield of ultrasound-guided percutaneous core needle biopsy (PCNB) for peritoneal lesions.

Methods: A retrospective analysis of 129 patients who underwent PCNB for peritoneal lesions was performed to assessed technical completion and diagnostic yield.

Article Synopsis
  • The study evaluated choroidal thickness (CT) in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients and compared it to healthy controls while exploring its relationship with RA-associated interstitial lung disease (RA-ILD).
  • A total of 63 RA patients and 36 healthy controls participated, with RA patients further divided into two groups: those with RA-ILD and those without.
  • The results showed that RA-ILD patients had significantly thinner CT at specific points compared to both the RA-noILD group and healthy controls, but CT thickness did not correlate with the severity of lung disease.

Pulmonary adverse events and drug-induced lung disease (DILD) can occur when treating many conditions. The incidence of DILDs in clinical practice and the variety of radiological findings have increased, mainly due to the increased use of novel therapeutic agents. It is crucial to determine whether the newly emerging clinical and imaging findings in these patients are due to the progression of the underlying disease, infection, pulmonary edema, or drug use, as this will change the patient management.

Objectives: The aims of the study are to compare the body composition parameters (BCPs), which have been reported to have a prognostic impact, in COVID-19 patients, and to determine the most influential BCP(s) on the prognosis.

Methods: Unenhanced chest computed tomography examinations of COVID-19 cases were assessed regarding the severity of pneumonia, pectoralis muscle area and density (PMA, PMD), visceral adipose tissue area (VAA), waist circumference, waist to paravertebral muscle circumference ratio, coronary artery calcification severity, and paravertebral muscle area at the T5 vertebral level. A second observer repeated measurements and an intraclass correlation coefficient score were used for interobserver agreement.

Background: Due to the long acquisition time and high cost of multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI), biparametric and, more recently, fast prostate magnetic resonance imaging (fpMRI) protocols have been described. However, there is insufficient data about the diagnostic performance and cost of fpMRI.

Purpose: To compare the diagnostic performances and cost analysis of fpMRI and mpMRI in clinically significant prostate cancer (csPCA).

Objectives: This study aims to measure and compare bilateral carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT), bilateral jugular, common femoral, and main portal vein wall thicknesses (VWTs) in Behçet's disease (BD) patients with and without vascular involvement to obtain a cut-off value for vascular complications and determine their relationship with disease activity.

Patients And Methods: Sixty-three BD patients (41 males, 22 females; median age: 38.0 years; min 20 - max 71 years) and 30 healthy control subjects (14 males, 16 females; median age: 40.
