Problem: Sleeplessness and inadequate sleep may cause an adolescent to experience reduced self-control and behavioral problems that include anger and an inclination toward crime. This study aimed to examine the relationship between insomnia and trait anger and anger expression among adolescents.
Methods: The study was conducted with 749 students from 27 high schools who were selected by using the stratified cluster sampling method.
Objective: The present study aimed to evaluate the impact of a Transtheoretical Model-based programme titled 'Fruit & Vegetable-Friendly' on the fruit and vegetable (F&V) consumption of adolescents.
Design: A quasi-experimental study. The 'Fruit & Vegetable-Friendly', a multicomponent intervention based on the Transtheoretical Model, was completed in eight weeks.
Background: Many health problems encountered in childhood, adolescence, and adulthood periods arise from problematic eating behavior, an unhealthy dietary approach, and inactive lifestyles. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the Diet and Physical Activity Program for Health, under the leadership of a nurse, on the dietary and physical activity behaviors of children.
Methods: This study was planned in a quasi-experimental design with pretesting, posttesting, follow-up testing, and a control group.
Purpose: The principal aim of this study was to adapt the FaMM into the Turkish language and test its validity and reliability.
Design And Methods: Data were collected from a total of 395 parents of children with chronic disease. The FaMM was translated using the translation and back-translation method.
Objectives: To evaluate the frequency of NIH category IV prostatitis, and the use of expressed prostatic secretions tests in an effort to improve the reliability of prostate specific antigen as an indicator, to avoid unnecessary prostate biopsy.
Materials And Methods: 178 expressed prostatic secretion positive patients with serum prostate specific antigen levels of ≥ 2.5 ng / mL were included in present prospective study.

Objectives: This quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest control group was conducted to determine the effects of the "Aggressive Behavior Prevention Program (ABPP)" on kindergarten students. The program was based on Social Cognitive Theory.
Design And Sample: The study was carried out with 90 children (intervention group = 45, control group = 45) who were registered in the kindergarten of a primary school.
Objective: The aim of this study was to construct a consensus on the undergraduate learning objectives and topics for public health nursing (PHN) in Turkey.
Design: A three-round e-mail-based Delphi study was conducted between May and July 2015 with a national sample.
Sample: Ninety-one academics from 54 universities were invited as experts to participate by e-mail.
The effects of systemically administered rosuvastatin on alveolar bone loss (ABL), cytokine levels and oxidative status were investigated in rats with ligature-induced periodontitis. Rats were divided randomly into four groups: a non-ligated group (C); a non-ligated+rosuvastatin group (R); a ligated group (P); and a ligated+rosuvastatin group (PR). Ligatures were placed at the maxillary second molars, and rosuvastatin was administered for 14 days.

Methods: Brucella Coombs gel test (BCGT), Brucella ELISA (IgG + IgM), Standard agglutination test, and Brucella immunocapture agglutination tests of 78 patients with presumptive diagnosis of brucellosis which were sent to Microbiology Laboratory of Konya Numune Hospital from various regions of Konya were studied.
Results: Of 78 patients with ELISA IgG and IgM, STA, BICA and BCGT; 26, 21, 10, 12 and 12 were positive.
Background: This study aims to investigate the effects of a 2% cholesterol-enriched diet on alveolar bone loss (ABL) and serum levels of pro-oxidants and antioxidant enzymes in rats with experimental periodontitis.
Methods: Rats were randomized into the four groups: 1) group C (standard diet/periodontally healthy); 2) group Hc (high-cholesterol diet); 3) group HcP (high-cholesterol diet/periodontitis); and 4) group P (standard diet/periodontitis). All rats were fed for 8 weeks.

Purpose: The aim of this research was to adapt the Sun Protection Behavior Scale (SPBS) to Turkish and to perform validity and reliability analyses.
Methods: The scale was administered to a total of 900 adolescents, the retest to 91 adolescents. The construct validity of the scale was evaluated using exploratory (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA).
Purpose: Our aim was to evaluate clean intermittent catheterization (CIC) results in combination with triamcinolone ointment and contractubex ointment for lubrication of the catheter after optical internal urethrotomy (OIU).
Methods: Ninety patients who underwent OIU were randomized into three groups. Two weeks after operation, patients were treated with CIC (group A), triamcinolone ointment CIC (group B), and contractubex ointment CIC (group C).

Introduction: The age of starting the habit of smoking, one of the top causes of many illnesses, is usually in the period of adolescence. This study was conducted to determine students' smoking status and to explore their desire to quit and their experiences during the cessation process.
Methods: This descriptive study was performed with 934 adolescents between the ages of 14 and 20 years at a vocational high school located in Istanbul, Turkey.
Background: Sun protection is important for skin cancer prevention, but many adolescents do not protect themselves from the sun. Instrumentation derived from the transtheoretical model (TTM) can be used to study the process of change in health behaviors like sun protection.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to translate and adapt TTM-based decisional balance and self-efficacy for sun protection scales from English to Turkish and assess psychometric properties of scores when the scales are used among Turkish adolescents.
Purpose: The purpose of this research was to examine the psychometric properties of the Turkish version of the situational self-efficacy scale for vegetable and fruit consumption in adolescents.
Design: This was a methodological study.
Setting: The study was conducted in four public secondary schools in Istanbul, Turkey.
This study was conducted to examine the effect of a healthy nails program on nail-biting in Turkish schoolchildren. This quasi-experimental study was of pretest-posttest control group design. A total of 50 students of a primary school formed the intervention group, while 53 students from the same school formed the control group.
