This study aimed to explore the mental health status of individuals seeking rhinoplasty before and 3 months after surgery. This study was conducted in 2022 at Velayat Hospital, involving patients aged 18-60 who were seeking rhinoplasty, selected using convenience sampling method. Exclusion criteria included prior nasal surgery and severe psychiatric disorders without clearance from a psychiatrist.

This study investigates the effects of natural inhibitors (pomegranate, algae, and tomato extracts) on the corrosion resistance of titanium (grade 2). To deepen understanding the inhibition mechanism, Molecular Dynamic (MD) and Monte Carlo (MC) simulations were employed to analyze adsorption behaviors and identify optimal adsorption sites on titanium oxide (TiO) surfaces for compounds within the inhibitors. Results indicate non-flat adsorption orientations, with pomegranate peel extract components showing superior inhibition capabilities, attributed to the formation of strong O-H chemical bonds with the TiO surface.

Ovarian cancer (OC) is the most common cause of death in female cancers. An effective method for synthesizing acridinedione derivatives using a xanthan gum (XG), Thiacalix[4]arene (TC4A), and iron oxide nanoparticles (IONP) have been employed to construct a stable composition, which is named Thiacalix[4]arene-Xanthan Gum@ Iron Oxide Nanoparticles (TC4A-XG@IONP). The process used to fabricate this nanocatalyst includes the in-situ magnetization of XG, its amine modification by APTES to get NH-XG@IONP hydrogel, the synthesis of TC4A, its functionalization with epichlorohydrine, and eventually its covalent attachment onto the NH-XG@IONP hydrogel. The structure of the TC4A-XG@IONP was characterized by different analytical methods including Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, X-Ray diffraction analysis (XRD), Energy Dispersive X-Ray, Thermal Gravimetry analysis, Brunauer-Emmett-Teller, Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope and Vibration Sample Magnetomete.

The Arabic gum--hydrolyzed polyacrylonitrile/ZnFeO (AG--HPAN@ZnFeO) as organic/inorganic adsorbent was obtained in three steps using grafted PAN onto Arabic gum in the presence of ZnFeO magnetic nanoparticles and then hydrolysis by alkaline solution. Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), energy-dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), and the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) analysis analyses were used to characterize the chemical, morphological, thermal, magnetic, and textural properties of the hydrogel nanocomposite. The obtained result demonstrated that the AG--HPAN@ZnFeO adsorbent showed acceptable thermal stability with 58% char yields and superparamagnetic property with magnetic saturation (Ms) of 24 emu g.
