Background: Although energy drinks have been consumed for many years, their effects on the cardiovascular system continue to be investigated. Today, the most frequently used area of energy drinks is the entertainment sector, and this study investigates the effects of energy drinks and alcohol consumption on rats' limb and myocardium tissue.

Methods: Forty Wistar Albino rats were used and divided into 4 groups.

Effect of vitamin D deficiency on the development of postoperative atrial fibrillation in coronary artery bypass patients.

Various factors may be responsible for the development of postoperative atrial fibrillation (POAF) in coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) patients. In our study, we demonstrated the effect of vitamin D deficiency on the development of POAF. In this prospective case control study, patients undergoing elective, isolated CABG were considered.
