Research Question: Does dexpanthenol work as an effective therapeutic agent against cyclophosphamide (CYC)-induced premature ovarian failure (POF) in rats?

Design: A total of 28 female Wistar Albino rats were randomly divided into four groups (n = 7 per group). The POF and POF plus dexpanthenol groups were intraperitoneally administered CYC at an initial dose of 50 mg/kg, followed by 8 mg/kg for 14 days. The dexpanthenol and POF plus dexpanthenol groups were both intraperitoneally administered dexpanthenol at a dose of 500 mg/kg/day for 15 days.

Heat shock protein 90 (Hsp90) is a key chaperone that is abnormally expressed in cancer cells, and therefore, designing novel compounds to inhibit chaperone activities of the Hsp90 is a promising therapeutic approach for cancer drug discovery. Debio-0932 is a second-generation Hsp90 inhibitor that exhibited promising anticancer activity against a wide variety of cancer types with a strong binding affinity for Hsp90 and high oral bioavailability. In this work novel organic based compounds, acyl thiourea derivatives were synthesized and their anticancer activities were investigated. A new series of acyl thiourea derivatives containing pyrazole ring were prepared in good yield through one pot reaction of 4-benzoyl-1, 5-diphenyl-1H-pyrazole-3-carbonyl chloride with ammonium thiocyanate and various amines.
