Forkhead box protein P1 (FOXP1), a transcription factor enriched in the neocortex, is associated with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) and FOXP1 syndrome. Emx1;Foxp1 conditional deletion (Foxp1 conditional knockout [cKO]) in the mouse cortex leads to overall reduced cortex thickness, alterations in cortical lamination, and changes in the relative thickness of cortical layers. However, the developmental and cell-type-specific mechanisms underlying these changes remained unclear.

Patients And Methods: Between January 2019 and January 2020, a total of 180 patients (21 males, 159 females; mean age: 35.9±9.
Objectives: The study aimed to investigate and compare clinical features, disease activity, and the overall disease burden among psoriatic arthritis (PsA) patients across seven distinct geographic regions in Türkiye.
Patients And Methods: A multicenter cross-sectional study involving 1,134 PsA patients from 25 referral centers across seven regions was conducted. Demographic and clinical characteristics, comorbidities, joint involvement, extra-articular manifestations, and disease activity measures were evaluated across regions.
Aim: The main purpose of this study was to investigate the potential mediating role of job burnout in the relationship between organisational support and quiet quitting among nurses. Additionally, this study aimed to determine the associations between organisational support, job burnout and quiet quitting.
Design: This study was a descriptive, cross-sectional study.
Astronomical precision spectroscopy underpins searches for life beyond Earth, direct observation of the expanding Universe and constraining the potential variability of physical constants on cosmological scales. Laser frequency combs can provide the required accurate and precise calibration to the astronomical spectrographs. For cosmological studies, extending the calibration with such astrocombs to the ultraviolet spectral range is desirable, however, strong material dispersion and large spectral separation from the established infrared laser oscillators have made this challenging.

Accordingly, countries have been increasing their efforts to decarbonize economies. In this context, energy transition and energy-related research and development (R&D) investments can be important strategic tools to be helpful to countries in the decarbonization of economies.

Regenerative endodontics is a developing field involving the restoration of tooth structure and re-vitality of necrotic pulp. One of the most critical clinical considerations for regenerative endodontic procedures is the disinfection of the root canal system, since infection interferes with regeneration, repair, and stem cell activity. In this study, we aimed to provide the synthesis of injectable biopolymeric tissue scaffolds that can be used in routine clinical and regenerative endodontic treatment procedures using Gelatin methacryloyl (GelMA), and to test the antimicrobial efficacy of Gelatin methacryloyl/Silver nanoparticles (GelMA/AgNP), Gelatin methacryloyl/Hyaluronic acid (GelMA/HYA), and Gelatin methacryloyl/hydroxyapatite (GelMA/HA) composite hydrogels against microorganisms that are often encountered in stubborn infections in endodontic microbiology.

Numerous studies identified mutations in , a transcription factor enriched in the neocortex, as causal for ASD and FOXP1 syndrome. Our group has shown that deletion in the mouse cortex leads to overall reduced cortex thickness, alterations in cortical lamination, and changes in the relative thickness of cortical layers.

Vector Borne Zoonotic Dis
June 2024
Brucellosis, which is among the endemic regions of Turkey, is a common zoonotic disease. The gold standard in diagnosing brucellosis is culture. We aimed to compare demographic characteristics, risk factors, and clinical and laboratory variables between cases with culture positivity and undetected in culture.

This study aimed to assess the therapeutic effects of implementing the BioFire Blood Culture Identification 2 (BCID2) Panel (bioMérieux, Marcy l'Etoile, France) in the clinical practice of children with sepsis. This retrospective cross-sectional study included children from 15 days of age to 18 years old with sepsis and of whom the BCID2 Panel was studied from the positive blood culture. If the antimicrobial treatment was changed according to the results of BCID2 Panel, it was recorded and re-grouped as targeted antimicrobial therapy, de-escalation of the antimicrobial treatment and shifting to another antimicrobial drug if any antimicrobial resistance was detected.

Introduction: One of the important problems that lower the diagnostic value of blood culture is contamination with skin organisms. The povidone-iodine, alcohol, and chlorhexidine gluconate alcohol are used for disinfection prior to blood sampling for culture.
Methods: The investigator-initiated, open label, single centre, randomised trial compared blood culture contamination rates between two groups of patients in which using a povidone iodine skin-preparation process with the contamination rate for using "2 % chlorhexidine with 70 % isopropyl alcohol" skin-disinfection.
