Aim: Several studies have suggested that cytokine release syndrome (CRS) can be controlled by therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE) treatment. In this study, it was aimed to evaluate the efficacy of TPE treatment in patients who developed life-threatening respiratory failure syndrome (SARS) due to COVID-19 infection.
Methods: In this retrospective, case-control study, patients, who developed SARS, were infected with the COVID-19 virus, and required intensive care unit (ICU) admission were included.
Purpose: This study aims to assess the impact of polycythemia vera (PV) on retinal and optic nerve head (ONH) vessel density (VD) parameters, macular ganglion cell complex (mGCC) thickness, and retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness compared to healthy controls.
Methods: Forty eyes of 20 patients with PV and 40 eyes of 20 age-gender-matched healthy controls underwent comprehensive ophthalmologic assessments and optic coherence tomography angiography (OCTA). RNFL and macular GCC measurements were obtained simultaneously with vascular parameters by AngioVue OCTA using the single-scan protocol.

Objective: The study aimed to evaluate respiratory virus infections in adult patients with hematological malignancies (HM).
Patients And Methods: The medical records of patients who were followed up by the hematology clinic at Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital between March 2021 and March 2023 with a diagnosis of HM and who underwent real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) testing for nasopharyngeal/oropharyngeal specimens taken with suspected respiratory tract infection constituted the study data.
Results: Infections were symptomatic in 64.

Methods: An Expert Steering Group co-developed two studies for PwMS aged 18 years and over: a qualitative, online, patient community activity and a quantitative anonymised online survey. The quantitative survey was conducted in the UK from 12 September 2019 to 18 November 2019 amongst PwMS recruited via the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Trust newsletter and their closed Facebook group.
The prevalent form of ichthyosis in neutral lipid storage disease (NLSDI) is nonbullous congenital ichthyosiform erythroderma (CIE) characterized by fine, whitish scales on erythematous skin over the whole body. Here, we report a late-diagnosed, 25-year-old woman with NLSDI presenting with diffuse erythema and fine whitish scales throughout the body with patches of apparently normal skin, "islets of sparing" on her lower extremities. We observed that the size of the normal skin islets changed with time, and even the entire lower extremity was covered with erythema and desquamation like the rest of the body.
