COVID-19-Induced Rheumatoid Arthritis: Case Series and Systematic Review of the Literature.

COVID-19, caused by a severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), can lead to severe infection and has been suggested to induce autoimmune phenomena. We report three cases of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) occurring after COVID-19 infection and we present a systematic review of the literature of cases of RA post COVID-19. Our findings suggest that RA may be trigged by COVID-19 infection in genetically predisposed individuals.

Effects of Specific Dual Task Training on Change of Direction Ability, Cognitive Flexibility, and Inhibition in Young Soccer Players.

In the current study we aimed to investigate the effect of specific dual task training (SDTT) compared to conventional soccer training (CST) on motor and cognitive performances in U13 elite soccer players. Twenty-four young soccer players (all males) participated in this study. We measured their change of direction ability (CODA) and cognitive performances (cognitive flexibility and inhibition) before and after four weeks in either the SDTT group or the CST group.

Experimental investigation and thermodynamic analysis of application of hybrid nanofluid in a parabolic solar trough collector.

In this research, thermal modeling has been done to investigate the effect of nanofluid on the performance of the linear parabolic collector. Therminol vapor/liquid phase fluid (VP-1) has been used as a base fluid; iron oxide nanoparticles have been used to produce mono-nanofluid; and iron oxide multi-walled carbon nanotubes nanocomposite has been used as nanoparticles to produce hybrid nanofluid. The fluid flow inside the absorber tube of the collector is assumed to be turbulent.

Anatomy and anatomical variations of adrenal veins and its application to adrenal venous sampling.

Purpose: Our aim was to study the anatomy of the left and right main adrenal veins (LAV and RAV) and to identify their anatomical variations in order to see the practical application of these findings to adrenal venous sampling (AVS).

Methods: Our work is based on dissection of 80 adrenal glands from fresh corpses in the forensic medicine department. We studied the number, the drainage, the direction and the level of termination of the main adrenal veins.

Risk factors for sepsis and mortality in patients with emphysematous pyelonephritis : a series of 68 cases (case series).

Background: Emphysematous pyelonephritis (EPN) is a rare and severe necrotizing infection of the kidney with a high rate of complications and mortality. Our aim was to investigate risk factors of urosepsis and mortality in case of EPN.

The anti-Müllerian hormone: A useful tool for diagnosis of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.

Background: Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is the most frequent endocrine disorder that affects reproductive-age women with important long-term health implications. In the present study, we aimed to report our single-center experience in encrusted ureteral stent management and to compare the utility of two different scoring systems in patient management. This is a retrospective study of patients who underwent various surgical procedures to remove encrusted ureteral stent. Encrusted stent grading was performed using KUB and FECal grading sytems.

Management strategies and root causes of missed iatrogenic intraoperative ureteral injuries with delayed diagnosis: a retrospective cohort study of 40 cases.

Background: Intraoperative iatrogenic ureteral injuries represent rare technical surgical complications with the potential for adverse patient outcomes, particularly when the diagnosis is delayed. COVID-19-Related Fear and Mental Distress Among Tunisian Primary, Middle and High School Teachers: Prevalence and Predictive Factors.

This study aimed to determine the prevalence and predictive factors of fear of COVID-19 and serious mental distress among teachers in public schools of Southern Tunisia. This was a cross sectional study among a representative sample of 525 teachers. The level of Fear was assessed using the Fear of COVID-19 Scale (FCV-19S).

Rheumatoid arthritis with concomitant fibromyalgia: The role of ultrasound in assessing disease activity.

Introduction: Fibromyalgia (FM) is a chronic painful condition frequently associated with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), which may falsely increase RA activity. The aim of our study was to compare clinical scoring and ultrasound (US) assessment in RA patients with concomitant FM with those without FM.

Introduction: We aimed to screen the presence of silent myocardial ischaemia, in established rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients, using a stress test then to evaluate its association with the disease activity and the cardiovascular (CV) risk factors and Heartscore.

Perceived stigma among Tunisian healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Background And Objectives: Stigma was a major issue during the COVID-19 pandemic. It posed a serious threat to the lives of healthcare workers (HCWs) who were expected to experience higher levels of stigma and increased psychological distress. This is the first survey to investigate forms and correlates of perceived stigma in Tunisian HCWs during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Public Knowledge About How Common Chronic Diseases Affect Wound Healing Postoperatively in Aseer Region.

Background Wound healing has classically been described to occur in three phases, regardless of the mechanism of injury. These phases are the inflammatory, proliferative, and remodeling phases. Chronic diseases adversely affect the wound healing process, and more needs to be done for different policies, such as adjustment of drug therapy, diet, or behavior to help rapid wound healing.
