In this study, BC1F3:4 generation plants derived from the hybrid crosses of Rio Blanco × Nevzatbey, Rio Blanco × Adana99, and Rio Blanco × line 127 were used as experimental material. These hybrids incorporated QTLs associated with pre-harvest sprouting (PHS) resistance through molecular techniques. Key agronomic traits, including plant height, spike length, the number of grains per spike, grain weight, and physiological maturity, were evaluated in both greenhouse and growth room settings under accelerated growth (speed breeding) conditions.

This study aims to compare the shear bond strength (SBS) and Weibull characteristics between a luting composite resin and both printable and two different machinable ceramic-glass polymer materials. A total of 36 substrates were prepared, with 12 in each group. Printable substrates (12 mm × 12 mm × 2 mm) were printed by using permanent crown resin (3D-PR).

Background: 3D-printed permanent resins have recently been introduced to produce permanent restorations. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of surface treatment methods on the shear-bond strength (SBS) between 3D-printed permanent resins and adhesive cement.

Material And Methods: In this study, samples were produced using digital light projection (DLP) and stereolithography (SLA) 3D printers with two permanent resins (Crowntec, Saremco and Permanent Crown, Formlabs) in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to determine the complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) methods used in epilepsy patients admitted to a paediatric neurology clinic in Turkey and to examine the factors affecting these methods.

Methods: This study was conducted between October 2022 and March 2023 by using a questionnaire form prepared in line with the literature to the parents (n = 172) of children who were under the age of 18 and who had been diagnosed with epilepsy for at least 1 year and who were followed up in the paediatric neurology outpatient clinic of a secondary care hospital in Van province of Turkey. The principles of scientific ethics and confidentiality of data were complied with in all stages of the study.

Intermediate filaments (IFs) are key molecular factors of the cell and have been reported to play an important role in maintaining the structural integrity and functionality of the abomasum. This study was designed to determine the regional distribution, cellular localization and expression of several IFs, including CK8, CK18, CK19, vimentin, desmin, peripherin and nestin, as well as the connective tissue component laminin, in the bovine, ovine and caprine abomasa. Immunohistochemical analyses demonstrated varying levels of expression of CK8, CK18, CK19, vimentin, desmin, nestin, peripherin and laminin in the bovine, ovine and caprine abomasa.

Objectives: To assess the translucency of machinable and printable ceramic-glass polymer materials with different thicknesses.

Methods: Five ceramic-glass polymer materials were tested: one 3D-printable material, Permanent Crown resin (3D), two machinable materials available at low translucency (LT) and high translucency (HT) levels, VITA Enamic (VE) HT/LT, and Cerasmart 270 (CS) HT/LT. A total of 100 specimens were produced across 10 subgroups (n = 10) with thicknesses of 1 mm and 1.

The TAM receptor ligand Gas6 is known for regulating inflammatory and immune pathways in various organs including the brain. Gas6 becomes fully functional through the post-translational modification of multiple glutamic acid residues into γ-carboxyglutamic in a vitamin K-dependent manner. However, the significance of this mechanism in the brain is not known.

In line with the "beautiful-is-good" heuristic, numerous studies show that physically attractive individuals are perceived in a more positive light. However, building on previous findings suggesting that the "beauty-good" relationship is bidirectional, the present research investigates how information on a stigmatized attribute impacts attractiveness perceptions and social judgments. Within a controlled experimental design, we present evidence that the mere label of mental illness (i.

Objectives: To research the effects of blood cortisol and hemoglobinA1c (HBA1C) levels on mortality in patients admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) and whether these factors could be used as reliable indicators for mortality risk assessment in these patients.

Methods: After receiving approval from the ethics committee, 79 patients admitted to ICU were included in the study. From patient files, we collected data on demographics (age, gender), presence of diabetes mellitus, and levels of cortisol, HbA1C, glucose, and lactate measured during hospitalization, along with acute physiology and chronic health evaluation (APACHE) II scores calculated within the first 24 hours.

BACKGROUND This retrospective study investigated the association between the critical shoulder angle (CSA) and the development of full-thickness rotator cuff tears (FTRCTs) in the Turkish population. The CSA is an imaging parameter that quantifies the relationship between the inclination of the glenoid and the lateral extension of the acromion in the coronal plane. The CSA is an anatomical measurement, and higher CSA values have been associated with an increased incidence of FTRCTs.

In this study, the waste generation at the educational institutes chosen from four different levels (kindergartens, primary, secondary and high schools) in Istanbul was measured on-site and the contents of the waste thrown into the recycling bins were determined to specify capture rates. Separation and weighing processes were performed at 16 spots in high schools, 12 spots in secondary schools, 7 spots in primary schools and 7 spots in kindergartens. A survey was conducted to determine the students' awareness of recycling in these schools.

Background: Image-guided or assisted needle biopsies and the increasing use of medical thoracoscopy (MT) have increased the diagnostic accuracy of pleural diseases significantly. However, no consensus exists regarding which patients with pleural effusion should undergo MT and which patients should undergo image-guided or assisted needle biopsy as the first procedure to ensure greater diagnostic accuracy.

Research Question: Which biopsy method is more appropriate for which patient to provide the highest diagnostic accuracy in the diagnosis of pleural effusion?

Study Design And Methods: This prospective, randomized, parallel study included 228 patients with undiagnosed exudative pleural effusion.

In this project, non-sulfonamide bistrifluoromethyl-derived hydrazide-hydrazones were synthesized as multi-target-directed ligands to treat Alzheimer's disease and then, the novel derivatives were characterized by diverse spectral methods. Acetylcholinesterase (AChE), and human carbonic anhydrase (hCA) inhibitory qualifications of these compounds were determined. The reported compounds (2a-y) were determined to be effective inhibitors of the hCA I, hCA II and AChE enzymes with Ki values in the range of 1.
