Background: Both maximal muscle strength and muscle power are independently important for karatekas. However, the relationship between strength and power in elite male kumite karatekas is under researched. This study aimed to determine the relationship between back-leg-chest (BLC) isometric muscle strength with sprint and jump variables in elite male karatekas.

However, the impact of furan on Sertoli cells, a crucial male reproductive system cell, has not been studied. The investigation involved the treatment of furan to TM4 Sertoli cells at various concentrations (750, 1500, and 3000 µM) over a period of 24 h.

Methods: In this meta-analysis, randomized controlled trials published in the PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, ClinicalKey, and PROSPERO electronic databases between March 24, 2014 and March 24, 2024 comparing the analgesic efficacy of SABP with other regional blocks in adult patients undergoing VATS were reviewed.
Results: Nine randomized controlled trials consisting of a total of 537 participants (287 males, 250 females; mean age: 55.
5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF), produced by the Maillard reaction, can indicate thermal processes in food. Previous research has examined the cytotoxic, genotoxic, mutagenic, and carcinogenic characteristics of HMF and its derivatives in different organs. Nevertheless, there is currently no available evidence about the impact of HMF on male reproductive toxicity.

Objectives: The study aimed to investigate and compare clinical features, disease activity, and the overall disease burden among psoriatic arthritis (PsA) patients across seven distinct geographic regions in Türkiye.
Patients And Methods: A multicenter cross-sectional study involving 1,134 PsA patients from 25 referral centers across seven regions was conducted. Demographic and clinical characteristics, comorbidities, joint involvement, extra-articular manifestations, and disease activity measures were evaluated across regions.
Objective: The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the potential effects of thymoquinone, a well-known antioxidant agent, on random flap viability and thus to improve the clinical use of these flaps.
Methods: In this study, 24 Sprague Dawley female albino rats weighing between 200-250 grams were used. Three groups consisting of randomly selected 8 rats were formed, as study, sham and control groups.

Objective: Bilateral pulmonary involvement is observed in around 14% of cases of pulmonary hydatid cysts and the treatment can be challenging. This study evaluates the clinical characteristics and treatment strategies used for cases of bilateral pulmonary hydatid cysts.
Materials And Methods: A retrospective examination was conducted on 107 consecutive cases of bilateral pulmonary hydatid cysts treated in our clinic between January 2003 and December 2023.

The cervical rib is an additional rib arising from the transverse process of the seventh cervical vertebra. This rib may terminate free in soft tissue or may be attached to the first rib. The cervical rib is a congenital anomaly that occurs in less than 1% of the general population and sometimes causes severe symptoms of thoracic outlet syndrome.

Furthermore, the environment contains furan in tobacco smoke and vehicle exhaust gases, and it serves as an intermediate molecule in the synthesis of various pharmaceutical and chemical agents, pesticides, and stabilizers. Studies on the male reproductive system have not been able to elucidate the pathway through which furan exerts its negative effects.

Pulmonary chondroid hamartomas (PCHs) are the most common benign neoplasms of mesenchymal origin of the lung. This study reports an unusual case where MGA and PCH coexisted in a peripheral intra-parenchymal location.

The compressive strength of UHPC is a value that can be reached after a certain period of time through a series of tests and cures. However, this value can be estimated by machine-learning methods.

Furthermore, considering that chemical and physical synthesis methods require high energy consumption and cause environmental pollution, plant-mediated green synthesis of NPs has attracted great attention since it provides eco-friendly, biocompatible, and inexpensive solutions. In this present study, plant mediated green synthesis of Iron Oxide (FeO), Zinc Oxide (ZnO) and Titanium Dioxide (TiO) nanoparticles by using leaves (bay leaves) were carried out and their structural properties were characterized by UV visible spectra, Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM).

Hypertension contributes to both the development and progression of brain damage and cognitive dysfunction in the postmenopausal period in women. Carvacrol (CAR), which can easily cross the blood-brain barrier, exhibits neuroprotective properties due to its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-apoptotic effects. In the present study, we have examined the effect of CAR treatment on learning-memory impairment in a post-menopausal hypertensive rat model that was induced by ovariectomy following two-kidney, one-clip renovascular hypertension surgery.

Arsenic, a naturally occurring element found in soil, water, and air, easily enters the human body and leads to many metabolic disorders. In this study, we focused on the possible protective effects of N-acetylcysteine (NAC) against sodium arsenite (As)-induced toxic effects on embryonic fibroblast cells.

Materials And Methods: The study included 298 patients, 154 of whom were diagnosed with nonfunctional masses. In the functional group, 33, 62, and 59 patients had Conn syndrome, Cushing's syndrome, and pheochromocytoma, respectively.
Background: This study aims to assess the outcomes and prognosis of surgical interventions aimed at removing esophageal foreign bodies in patients with mental retardation.
Methods: Between January 2010 and January 2021, a total of 30 consecutive patients (20 males, 10 females; median age: 29.5 years; range, 2 to 57 years) with mental retardation who were diagnosed with esophageal foreign bodies and underwent surgical treatment were retrospectively analyzed.
