One of the leading causes of cancer-related mortality in males is prostate cancer. The latest molecular studies revealed the interconnection of genetic polymorphism of N acetyltransferase (NAT) and Glutathione-S-transferase (GST) gene in the genesis of prostate cancer. Aim: In this study, we analyzed the risk of developing pre-eclampsia with respect to glutathione S-transferase theta 1 (GSTT1) and glutathione S-transferase mu 1 (GSTM1) genotypes. We also tried to find relationship between genotypes and biochemical parameter change in pre-eclampsia patients.

Methods: In total, 104 pre-eclampsia patients and 200 healthy controls were recruited for the study.
