Background: Accumulating evidence suggests that cardiovascular diseases and breast cancer share a number of common risk factors, however, evidence on the association between cardiovascular health (CVH) and breast cancer is limited. The present study aimed to assess the association of CVH, defined by Life's Essential 8 (LE8) and genetic risk with breast cancer incidence and mortality among premenopausal and postmenopausal women.
Methods: We used data from the UK Biobank and conducted the multivariate Cox proportional-hazards models to examine associations of LE8 score and genetic risk with breast cancer incidence and mortality.
Background: Chemoresistance and immunosuppression are two major obstacles in the current anti-cancer treatments. This study investigates the involvements of a CCAAT enhancer binding protein delta (CEBPD)/vesicle associated membrane protein 3 (VAMP3) axis in paclitaxel (PTX) resistance and immune evasion in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC).
Methods: PTX resistance-related genes were screened by bioinformatics.
Microrchidia CW-type zinc finger 2 (MORC2) is a member of the MORC superfamily of nuclear proteins. Growing evidence has shown that MORC2 not only participates in gene transcription and chromatin remodeling but also plays a key in human disease and tumor development by regulating the expression of downstream oncogenes or tumor suppressors. The present review provides an updated overview of MORC2 in the aspect of cancer hallmark and therapeutic resistance and summarizes its upstream regulators and downstream target genes.

CircRNAs, which are pervasive, diverse, stable, and conversed, have functions in transcriptional control and protein translation and play vital roles in modulating cell senescence, individual aging, as well as the occurrence and development of age-related diseases. This study aimed to assess the frequency of changes in receptor status after NAC in patients with invasive ductal breast cancer and the prognostic impact of such changes.
Methods: The study comprised 670 patients who were diagnosed with invasive ductal breast carcinoma and treated with both NAC and surgery from 2012-2017.
Continuous chemotherapy pressure-elicited annexin-A6 (ANXA6)-containing exosome (ANXA6-exo) secretion contributes to paclitaxel (PTX) resistance in breast cancer (BC), but the molecular mechanisms are not fully elucidated. The present study managed to investigate this issue and found that ANXA6-exo promoted PTX resistance and cancer progression in BC cells in a Yes-associated protein 1 (YAP1)-dependent manner. Specifically, the parental PTX-sensitive BC (PS-BC) cells were exposed to continuous low-dose PTX to generate PTX-resistant BC (PR-BC) cells, and we found that BC stem cells tended to be enriched in the descendent PR-BC cells in contrast with the PS-BC cells.
