Pediatric blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm (BPDCN) is a rare and aggressive blood cancer in children with poor treatment outcomes.
Recent studies show that bone marrow transplantation (BMT) after high-intensity treatment can improve survival rates in adults with this condition.
A case study of a 9-year-old girl successfully treated with chemotherapy followed by BMT using a gentler approach called reduced intensity conditioning (RIC) indicates that this method may be a viable treatment option for pediatric patients with BPDCN.

The production of factor VIII (FVIII) inhibitory antibodies is a serious problem in patients with hemophilia A. Immune tolerance induction (ITI) is the only strategy proven to eradicate persistent inhibitors and has been shown to be successful in 70 % of patients with hemophilia A. However, a minority of hemophilia patients present life-long inhibitors.
