Incidence of chylothorax over nineteen years of transhiatal esophagectomy: A case series and review study.

Objectives: Chylothorax (CTx) is the leak and accumulation of lymphatic fluid within the pleural cavity. The incidence of CTx has the highest rate after esophagectomy. This study aimed to present three cases of post-esophagectomy chylothorax among 612 esophagectomies that were performed over 19 years, in which post-esophagectomy chylothorax was reviewed in terms of risk factors, diagnosis, and management.

Amniotic membrane dressing versus nitrofurazone-impregnated dressing in the treatment of second-degree burn wounds: a randomized clinical trial.

Introduction: Both the amniotic membrane biologic dressing and nitrofurazone-impregnated dressing are treatment options for burn wounds.

Objective: To compare the efficacy of these treatments in healing second-degree burns, a randomized clinical trial was conducted among patients with second-degree burns who had no comorbidities or history of addiction and were referred to a burn center in Urmia, Iran, between December 2017 and September 2019.

Materials And Methods: Patients were randomly assigned to one of 2 study groups.

Influence of Perioperative Practice on Cognitive Function of Scrub Nurses: A Cross-Sequential Study.

Background: The operating room is a sophisticated, dynamic environment, with advanced technology. The goal of our study is to evaluate the effect of peri-operative practice on the cognitive functions of scrub nurses.

A New Technique for Reconstruction of Medium-Sized Eyelid Defects (A Modification of Tessier Nasojugal Flap).

Eyelid reconstructions are considered challenging surgical procedures, which are mostly performed due to trauma, tumor resections, and congenital defects. Several techniques can be used to reconstruct the lower eyelid defects. In this study, the authors aimed to introduce a new single-step technique for the reconstruction of medium-sized lower eyelid defects while preventing ectropion.
