Greenhouses are space-efficient structures used in the production of produce. However, occupational health issues like exposure to chemicals, and physiological and postural stresses are experienced by operators while performing farm activities due to the enclosed environment of the greenhouse. This study assesses chemical exposure and physiological and postural parameters of operators during spraying with two different types of sprayers (Battery-powered knapsack sprayer [Battery sprayer] and AC-powered stationary sprayer [Stationary sprayer]) with two different application techniques (continuous and alternate row).

Protected cultivation technology has emerged to minimize such stresses. We investigated the effect of diverse environments (hi-tech greenhouse, naturally ventilated polyhouse, insect-proof net-house, and open field) and breeding lines on earliness, yield potential, antioxidant activities, and dietary nutrients.

In the present investigation, 50 diverse genotypes were screened for 3 years under natural epiphytotic conditions. A subset of 20 genotypes was further evaluated across four different environments.

Laboratory developed cyanobacterium-fungal biofilm (An-Tr), composed of (An) as the matrix with the partner as (Tr), along with the individual partners were evaluated under ambient (aCO-400 ± 50 ppm) and elevated (eCO-700 ± 50 ppm) conditions, with and without tomato plants. An-Tr inoculation exhibited distinct and significantly higher values for most of the soil microbiological parameters, plant growth attributes and antioxidant/defense enzyme activities measured at 30 and 60 DAI (days after inoculation).

Nutritionally rich cucumber seeds remain in demand in the agricultural, health and cosmetic sectors as they are essential for a successful crop stand establishment and seed-based products. However, the production of cucumber seeds is impeded by source limitation and nutrient deficiency. The foliar application of micronutrients can supplement this deficiency and overcome the physiological setback.

Nanoparticles (NPs) are smaller in size (1-100 nm) with a larger surface area and have many fruitful applications. The extraordinary functions of NPs are utilized in sustainable agriculture due to nano-enabled products, e.

Protected cultivation of vegetables is often hampered by declining nutrient availability in soil due to year-around farming, which in turn, leads to poor quality and yields, causing serious concern. Our study aimed towards evaluating the potential of novel biofilm formulations-Anabaena or Trichoderma as matrices with Azotobacter sp. as Anabaena-Azotobacter (An-Az) and Trichoderma-Azotobacter (Tr-Az) or together as Anabaena-Trichoderma (An-Tr), on the growth, physiological activities, yield, and changes in the profiles of soil microbial communities in two cultivars (cv.
