Objective: The aim of the study was to identify factors contributing to the development of non-union after fixation of diaphyseal humeral fractures using Hackethal's intramedullary nailing technique.
Methods: In the time period from 2001 to 2010 156 patients with diaphyseal humeral fractures were treated surgically using Hackethal's technique. Six of them (3.

Purpose Of The Study: The aim was to determine indication criteria for use of arthroscopy in the treatment of post-traumatic changes in the elbow joint, to present the surgical technique and to evaluate the results of a prospective study involving early follow-up of functional and radiographic outcomes of this treatment.
Material And Methods: Between February 2010 and February 2013, arthroscopic surgery was carried out on 14 elbows in 14 patients at the Clinic of traumatology of Masaryk hospital in Ústí nad Labem. The group comprised seven men and seven women, with an average age of 40 years (range, 20 to 67 years).
Intracranial mesenchymal chondrosarcoma is a rare, high-grade malignancy with the highest prevalence in young adults. Because of its rarity, most data regarding survival are limited to case studies and small series. We present a 71-year-old woman with an intracranial dural based mesenchymal chondrosarcoma located in the anterior skull base, to our knowledge the oldest patient reported with this tumor.

The chances on curation of advanced CRC are continuously improving with modern multi-modality treatment options. For incurable CRC the focus lies on palliation of symptoms, which is not necessarily a resection of the primary tumor.

It was initiated by the Outcome Measures in Rheumatoid Arthritis Clinical Trials (OMERACT). The RAMRIS system has not been applied widely in the measurement of feet.

Materials And Methods: All patients who undergo colorectal surgery in our hospital are prospectively registered, including patient, treatment, and histopathological characteristics; outcome; and follow-up.
Aims: With the increasing use of screening mammography, more and more non-palpable lesions are found. As less invasive techniques like core needle biopsy are introduced, we evaluated our experience with the well-known standard procedure of surgical excision after wire localization.
Methods: We retrospectively evaluated the results of 479 wire localizations for non-palpable breast lesions between 1992 and 1999 in 465 patients.
Objective: to investigate prospectively the additional value of intra arterial digital subtraction arteriography (IADSA) for decision making in patients with critical limb ischemia (CLI). Treatment plans based on colour-duplex imaging (CDI) were compared with treatment plans based on IADSA.
Methods: ninety-eight consecutive patients with 112 legs with CLI were investigated by CDI and IADSA.
Cine magnetic resonance imaging with low-dose dobutamine stimulation allows prediction of viability after infarction with an accuracy of 80%. In akinetic segments, however, viability tends to be underestimated.
