"Because of HIV, It Opened My Mind": Intersectional Stigma Experiences Among Filipino Gay and Bisexual Men Living With HIV.

Previous work has demonstrated that gay, bisexual men, and other men who have sex with men (GBM) living with HIV are likely to experience intersectional stigma. However, mainstream systems often fail to recognize how power and privilege shape this experience. Such a complex psychological phenomenon requires an in-depth reflective inquiry that acknowledges individuals as experts in their own experiences.

Transnational grieving: The lived experience of Overseas Filipino Workers who lost their loved ones due to COVID-19.

This study aimed to gain an insight into the lived experience of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who lost their family members due to COVID-19 during the lockdown in 2020. Five OFWs volunteered to participate in this study and underwent online semi-structured interviews. An interpretative phenomenological approach guided the data analysis, through which four major themes were derived: (1) experiencing the emotional strains of unexpected death while physically distant; (2) enduring the absence of traditional mourning rituals; (3) managing grief from a distance; and (4) finding closure through physical and symbolic presence.

Mothers for Others: An Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis of Gestational Surrogates' Child Relinquishment Experiences.

Background: Previous studies have shown that surrogates reported high satisfaction with the surrogacy process and no psychological difficulties as a result of child relinquishment. However, the experiential dimension of child relinquishment is an understudied area.

Objective: This study sought to provide a more detailed portrait of gestational surrogates' child relinquishment experiences and the meanings they give to this experience.
