Background: Many studies have looked at the effect of functional endoscopic sinus surgeries (FESS) on nasalance, nasal consonant and nasalized vowels. Article Synopsis
  • A rare case of Basaloid Squamous Cell Carcinoma (BSCC) in the retromolar trigone is discussed, with only three similar cases documented in existing literature.
  • Two cases of BSCC are compared: one showed slow progression with no nodal metastases over four months, while the other experienced rapid progression with neck swelling and nodal involvement in just two weeks.
  • Treatment plans were customized; the first patient received intraoral tumor excision and radiotherapy, while the second underwent bilateral neck dissection and chemoradiotherapy, both resulting in successful outcomes with no disease recurrence.
