Background: In patients with chronic liver disease, the common endpoint of its course is liver cirrhosis which is a cause of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. These abnormalities in the cardiovascular system, especially the heart, can be detected by echocardiography. Identifying and acting on these abnormalities can have an impact on their management thereby reducing morbidity and mortality of patients with liver cirrhosis.
