Diffusion imaging studies in Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) have revealed alterations in anatomical brain connections, such as the fronto-parietal connection known as superior longitudinal fasciculus (SLF). Studies in neurotypical adults have shown that the three SLF branches (SLF I, II, III) support distinct brain functions, such as attention and inhibition; and that their pattern of lateralization is associated with attention performance. However, most studies in ADHD have investigated the SLF as a single bundle and in children; thus, the potential contribution of the lateralization of the SLF branches to adult ADHD pathophysiology remains to be elucidated.

Here, we consider mechanisms that influence host cell-virus binding between the SARS-CoV-2 spike glycoprotein (SPG) and the human angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) with a series of peptides designed to mimic key ACE2 hot spots through adopting a helical conformation analogous to the N-terminal α1 helix of ACE2, the region experimentally shown to bind to the SARS-CoV-2 receptor-binding domain (RBD). The approach examines putative structure/function relations by assessing SPG binding affinity with surface plasmon resonance (SPR).

Cross-sectional research has highlighted self-esteem and dysfunctional beliefs in those with this diagnosis, but there has been little research into how self-esteem and dysfunctional beliefs relate to symptoms of mania and depression over time.
Design: A secondary data analysis of a prospective cohort study was used.
Investigations after critical events often depend on accurate and detailed recall accounts from operational witnesses (e.g., law enforcement officers, military personnel, and emergency responders).
